The Story Behind the Shoot
We met in the afternoon, when the sun was still high but already softening, creating that warm, golden light so characteristic of summer by the sea. The session was conceived with a clear aesthetic direction, focusing on a Mediterranean mood: sun-kissed skin, salt in the air, natural gestures and an effortless sense of calm. Shot fully in analog, the grain adds depth and tactility, reinforcing the timeless feel of the series.
As the session evolved, the images became more intimate and organic, letting Meya move freely within the landscape. The beach becomes both backdrop and character, blending with her presence in a way that feels honest and unforced. The final series captures the essence of a Mediterranean summer: warm, raw, sunlit and quietly powerful.
